Aviation Exam is a question bank for pilot theory exams. Questions can be filtered by subject, each answer comes with an explanation, and statistics show where you are weakest. Explanations link to the matching passage in the publisher’s electronic textbooks.

MyRadar opens straight onto an animated weather radar centred on your position, which makes it quick for a first look at what is coming. Aviation layers, including charts, are sold as extras.

Jeppesen’s tablet app for using its electronic charts in the cockpit, with enroute and terminal charts and a moving map. The app itself is free, but it needs a Jeppesen chart subscription to be useful.
